A leading company for the sales and service of Biomedical Equipment requires:


Position: Project Head – South India (Biomedical Industry)

Location: South India (Kochi/Bangalore/Chennai/Hyderabad or any key city)

Department: Sales & Business Development

Reports to: Managing Director

Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales & business development. Proven expertise in handling government tenders and institutional sales.

Salary: Up to 18lpa


Job Summary:

The Project Head – South India is responsible for leading sales and business development efforts across South India, with a strong focus on government tenders and institutional sales. The role involves managing a regional sales team, developing key relationships with government healthcare bodies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring compliance with tendering processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:


Business Development & Sales Strategy:

  • Identify new business opportunities in government and private healthcare institutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key government agencies, hospitals, and procurement bodies.
  • Ensure a strong pipeline of government tenders and institutional contracts.

Government Tender Management:

  • Monitor government tender opportunities (GeM, E-procurement portals, etc.) and prepare bids.
  • Oversee the entire tendering process, including documentation, compliance, pricing, and submission.
  • Negotiate contracts with government agencies and ensure timely execution of orders.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and procurement policies affecting biomedical equipment.

Customer & Stakeholder Relationship Management:

  • Build strong relationships with state health departments, government hospitals, and procurement authorities.
  • Work closely with distributors, channel partners, and direct customers to expand market presence.
  • Address client queries, provide technical support, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

 

 Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales & business development.
  • Proven expertise in handling government tenders and institutional sales.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, GeM, E-tendering, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel across South India as required.
