For leading Jewellery Group in retail sector is looking for:

Job Title: Diamond Expert

Location: Thrissur 

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in diamond manufacturing. 

Qualification: A degree or diploma in gemology or a related field is often required. Specialized training in diamond grading and appraisal is added qualification.

Salary: Up to 40k + attractive incentives and other statutory benefits

Accommodation can be provided for outstation candidates

Interview mode: Face to face at Thrissur Office

A Diamond Expert plays a crucial role in the jewellery industry, focusing on the evaluation, grading, and appraisal of diamonds. 

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluation and Grading:

• Examine rough and polished diamonds using magnifying tools to detect defects in color, quality, and physical structure.

• Grade diamonds based on international standards, considering the 4Cs: Carat, Cut, Color, and Clarity.

2. Appraisal:

• Appraise diamonds for customers, providing accurate assessments of their value.

• Mark sections of stones to outline defects that need to be removed by diamond sawyers.

3. Expert Advice:

• Offer expert advice to customers and colleagues on diamond quality and market trends.

• Stay updated with the latest developments in diamond grading and market conditions.

4. Documentation:

• Maintain detailed records of diamond evaluations and appraisals.

• Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• Educational Background:

o A degree or certification in gemology or a related field is often required.

o Specialized training in diamond grading and appraisal.

• Skills:

o Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

o Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.

o Proficiency with magnifying tools and other gemological instruments.

• Experience:

o Previous experience in diamond grading, jewelry sales, or a related field is highly beneficial.
