Job Description: Territory Sales Manager for Wholesale Textile brand (baby wear)

Job location: Anywhere in Kerala as per candidate’s convenience.

Team: Will have a team of sales managers reporting.


Position Overview:

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and market share growth within a designated geographical area. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategies to achieve sales targets. The Territory Sales Manager will work closely with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful implementation of sales initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Planning:

o Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan for the assigned territory to achieve and exceed sales targets.

o Identify potential markets and customers and develop strategies to penetrate these markets.

o Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

2. Customer Relationship Management:

o Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential wholesale clients.

o Conduct regular meetings and presentations to key clients to understand their needs and provide suitable solutions.

o Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

3. Business Development:

o Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory to expand the customer base.

o Develop and implement initiatives to increase sales and market presence.

o Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns and events.

4. Product Knowledge and Training:

o Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s textile products and services.

o Provide training and product demonstrations to clients and their staff to enhance product understanding and usage.

o Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to effectively communicate benefits and features to clients.

5. Sales Reporting and Analysis:

o Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

o Use CRM systems to manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate records.

o Present sales results and insights to management and recommend action plans to address any gaps.

6. Collaboration and Teamwork:

o Work closely with the internal teams, including marketing, product development, and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.

o Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide customer feedback and insights to influence product development and marketing strategies.

o Support and mentor junior sales staff as needed.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree 

Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the textile or related industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Strong understanding of the wholesale textile market, including trends, competitors, and customer needs.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel within the designated territory as required.
