Job Summary:


Service Head is responsible for all necessary tasks related to installation and service including trouble shooting of any technical issues. He is responsible for making key decisions on technical related issues after considering cost and quality of hardware and software. He is also responsible for training service engineers on new machineries and software. He must ensure proper customer orientation to generate new leads.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Product Demo:


           Ensure that the demo requisition form is received.

           Allocate the respective service engineer with the date and time.

           Ensure that the demo is completed within the requested time frame.

           Ensure that the service engineer collects the Demo completion and satisfaction form.


Machinery Installation:


           Ensure product inspection before dispatch.

           Coordinate with the customer for the delivery confirmation.

           Ensure that the site inspections for the installation services are conducted periodically and in a timely manner.

           Coordinate with service Engineer for the installation.

           Ensure the timely completion of the installation by the service engineer.

           Ensure that the service engineer collects the installation report and the satisfaction form from the customer.


Complaint Management:


           Prepare the service team plan

           Ensure that the team members are following the time and work schedules.

           Monitoring the activities of respective team members and provide corrective actions and guidance is provided.

           Ensure that the service engineers carry the necessary spares needed for complaint resolution.

           Will be responsible for spares taken for service and its proper service.

           Maintain the sufficient stocks of the spares needed on a regular basis.

           Coordinate with the purchase and accounts department to ensure that the stock of the spare parts needed are always available for smooth functioning of the field service engineers.

           Maintenance of Stock registers of spares on a weekly basis.

           Ensure that the Complaint Management Register is updated on a daily basis.


Customer relations:


           Maintain good rapport with all the customers.

           Identify customer requirements and suggest proper solution.

           Respond to customer queries and provide necessary support on technical issues.

           Update customers on recent technological developments in packing and coding machines.


Preventive Maintenance Services (PMS):


           Prepare the monthly schedule for the preventive maintenance activity.

           Allocate the respective service engineers based upon the travel schedules.

           Ensure that the Preventive Maintenance schedules are met and completed.

           Ensure the Preventive Maintenance reports are collected on a weekly basis.


Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC):


           Ensure that the AMC contracts are signed / renewed by all the customers.

           Monitor the AMC periods of all the customers.

           Ensure that the AMC customers are visited at regular intervals as per the contracts.

           Ensure that the AMC visit reports are collected on a weekly basis.


Revenue Generation:


           Set AMC target for service Engineers and ensure AMC collection on time.

           Generate revenue through consumables and spares.




           Keep up to date with all the technical aspects of all the machineries and spares.

           Ensure that the team is also trained on a periodical basis on all technical aspects.
